One of those days...

So, it was not just a bad coffee day but a whole bad day! One of those days where even if you walk, you risk falling.

My day started off with me staying home because my throat wasn't doing good from yesterday and I needed a break, I stayed home planning number of things including that 'make ginger garlic paste' reminder still blinking on my phone. I will do it, I got myself to a point where I took the ginger and put it outside the fridge, so that it gets my attention that I have to do it. I created that reminder after throwing the garlic which mom pealed and left in the fridge when she was here and it was rotten. Do you know how much pain is pealing garlic cloves? Now, I don't know if I will make a ginger paste, but I will do anything before it rots too.

I usually get coffee from the market below my apartment building when I work from home, lately the coffee there's been bad, its not good if I get it after 10, so I went at 9:30 and got a cup for myself but it smelled like there was a fancy sanitizer or a soup and I quickly threw it out thinking about the long nails of  the lady who usually makes coffee, though I complemented her nails once. My imaginations are crazy at times, what if the lady used a sanitizer and touched the inside of the coffee thermos? or what if she didn't rinse the can properly? Anyways, I threw the coffee out and I went in the elevator again to get coffee from starbucks across the street after husband insisting, coz he knows what happens if I don't get coffee - I vine all day. So, I went in the lift and I realized a strong smell and I knew this smell, it was the same which was in the coffee, so it was probably the cleaning spray smell which was so strong that it even got into my coffee when I was coming upstairs in the elevator,  coz I usually take the cup from home and it doesn't have a lid. So, I cracked the smelly coffee case. I don't know if it was possible, but I think it is, coz it was the same smell in my coffee. I then went to starbucks taking my work phone too, thinking I will sit in starbucks for sometime and log on to skype from work phone, but when do I ever have charging in my phone? and the coffee sucked, every sip of it. I hate starbucks, specially the one by my house, coz they always don't have one or the other thing, this time they didn't have sugar and by the time the lady got me sugar my coffee went cold and everyone knows that I like my food and coffee at boiling point.

Not just these two coffee events, I went to the lobby of my apartment where they usually have coffee(not the greatest coffee), but their machine was down and they had a new lavazza coffee brewing machine but they were waiting for installation. So, all my encounters to get a good cup of coffee failed miserably.

By the time I finished having the bad cup of coffees, I had other cravings, it was almost lunch time and I was craving schezwan food, I usually get craving of having spicy food when I am sick. I will admit that one good thing that happened today was that I got a good mapo tofu for lunch. But, when I went to the restaurant to pick the food, I almost fell because the floor was wet and the waitress mopped the floor and didn't put a sign.

Now comes the main event why I started this blog, today was the first day of volunteering after the kids returned school this year for the Syrian community Network I volunteer at, I was excited and looking forward to it, I was gonna meet the kids after 4 months. I got ready and took a train because it was more convenient to avoid parking on the street.

There are two train stations near my house, a red line station and the green line, the green line is close to my house and during office hours even the red line comes to the station, so I went to the green line station and waited for the train, my phone showed the train will arrive in 10 minutes, I waited for ten minutes and got into the train that came on the station, half way through I realized the stations on my google maps weren't the same as the ones the train was stopping at. I asked the guy beside me - 'Is this red line?' he told 'No, its green.' I got down at the next stop and tried to figure out where I was, I realized I went west instead of North.

Me - in the library, before starting to blog
I once took a bus and went southbound just looking at the number on the bus, but I had to go north, after that incident I knew which way is north and which way is south, simple directions - they existed even back home and I took the bus everyday, for 6 years and how did I become dumb all together? not knowing what is south, what is north? I blame technology. It made things easy, but it also made human beings brains to stop thinking like - If you want to go North and if you sit in anything going towards North, you cant just sit in it, it can also go west, that's what happened to me today, not only did I sit in a wrong train but also just sat in it for 15 minutes thinking this is a train going North bound it will only go North, not thinking it can also go west. Sorry, if this is too much E/W//N/S, but there was a lesson to learn, to be focused and to pay attention. I felt so bad thinking I cant commute in train without husband? I  drive everyday, but to the same place and use GPS if I am going to a new place and it changes things so much when you are walking and trying to use bus/train.

I gave up and didn't think of taking a train again to go to the volunteering spot because it was too late. I thought 'be easy on yourself..' and sat in the library of my apartment because the library was cooler than my apartment and I needed a change in set up for the day.

That's all venting for the day. I know too many unnecessary details were shared and the hatred for starbucks was out loud .. After all the events of my day, do you think it was just me trying to find faults in the day or its me doing things wrongly :/

The Eid Effect.

08/09/2013

Yesterday after a long time I got the feeling of  'Yay tomorrow's Eid, have to go home early' cos mom was home and its after three years I am with someone from the family to celebrate Eid with and instead of taking an off, I preferred working from home Grr. Every time my other friends at work take a day or two off for Eid but I go to work having nobody around celebrating alone didn't make any sense, all I could do was get ready pray Eid Namaz and go on Skype.

Few friends of mine told me there's Eid mela in the town and I thought it'll be a change for mom if we go to the mela, she has outpaced the 'oh! America' period and is eagerly waiting to go back to her nest, so I thought the mela will be something different and give her the feeling of festival and home.

As I entered I saw a colleague, I later came across him and introduced Mom to him. It's different how you behave with colleagues outside work. I have incidences when I have ignored my best friend of school or college just to avoid them because the latter was much cooler than.... I so badly regret it, I came to know how bad the old best friend would feel being ignored when the same thing happened to me.

Once I was in the office cafeteria for lunch with two friends and I saw a classmate(I wouldn't like to call her a friend after what happened)who came to visit our facility for work. I looked at her once, she kept eating her lunch with her head down, I looked at her the second time she was doing the same, by this time I had already told the other two friends with me that she's my classmate, I couldn't ignore, I just went and said 'Hey Hi, how come you are here?' she was nervous, I have no idea why. I then realized, how it feels after getting ignored. After this, I decided how much ever bad I am dressed or I look, I'll not ignore anyone I know.

Coming back to the Eid Mela, I did not see so many muslims together anywhere except Charminar (in Hyderabad). They were people from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The place wasn't very big, so people were literally sitting anywhere and eating, chatting. We first opened my fast and went to the prayer hall to pray, I shouldn't be saying but one thing I don't like about gatherings like this, people don't care if they're in the prayer hall and others are praying, they just start chatting about how they look, what are they wearing and where they got it from. I feel sad how can one not understand to zip up all the conversations and do what they came for. Places like this should be spared, you are hearing this from a person whose name was always on the black board  for talking a lot in the class.

We went into the shopping section, my Mom was very excited to see the Pakistani clothing stores. I told her they get it from India and sell it doubled the amount, she said 'We don't get anything from Pakistan in India specially these designs they're so nice.'

I said, 'Mom this Pakistani fashion won't work in India, these Kurtis are so long and they're almost like Anarkali, so what's the difference?'
She replied 'No, Anarkali is the one with lot of flares evenly, this ones are the same but the flare is uneven in the bottom.'

Where I wanted to get Kulfi and eat Kebab, she wanted to get Kundan Jewellery and Pakistani dresses. I kept taking her back to the food court saying 'I was fasting whole day, I am hungry,' to avoid the unnecessary things she might buy which we'd keep in our cupboards forever.

Over all  it was a good experience, the place was lit brightly, people were in colorful clothes, Wives busy bargaining and husbands carrying the kids and passing their time in the food court. It definitely changed Moms mood and reminded me of all the good food and Eid time at home.

PS I watched Chennai Express on Eid day, it was good..SRK can never stop looking good. :D

The Day - May 12, 2012.

May 13/ 2013

It's been a year we graduated, life's very different now. While giving me the degree Dr Grace said 'No more late night studies,' he was right. It was end of late night studies, getting off work early to finish the home work, no more skipping meals and living on monster drinks. Sometimes I miss all that, when I see students in the university, I don't go there often but I don't miss any chance to go there. Two days back I attended the graduation ceremony of few friends, no doubt it was super fun, let me correct myself not as fun as my Graduation day was, I know I will never stop comparing and proving my thing the best and yes I don't like it when people compare my things or me to something else.

I was such a jerk to not write a blog on my Graduation, I remember sis and few friends told me to write one, but it took long to get back to blogging, well I at least started writing again, I am glad. When I was asking the tickets from Dorrie, our favorite International Student adviser, I asked her what time do we come in she said 'the same time as you did,' I was dumbstruck -What time did we go? All I remembered was my stomach ache, it hurt so much, no food for 5 hours, not even water. When we came out of the arena, people were congratulating us and I so much wanted to get out of there and calm my stomach.

I remember sis kept telling me 'Its your day, you have to look the best and you have to party hard.' We didn't have anything decided all we knew was our seniors were going to attend the ceremony, none of our parents had come for the ceremony. It was very nice of our seniors to attend and make it memorable, I felt so blessed to have them when I attended my juniors(not really juniors but they graduated after us, so..)Commencement and realized what their presence really meant.

I remember I got up early at six thirty or seven, keeping in mind my hair have to be straight-straight  like a bamboo stick not like noodles or Shahnaaz Hussain( not insulting her, her hair are great but I don't like them cos I got the same kind of hair). I got ready early because I knew I have to go on Skype and see my parents on the big day, I logged in and saw that they're not online, I called them and guess what, my sister told me they cannot come online because the transformer blasted because of the overload the neighbors put as there  was a marriage in the adjacent house. I cursed the neighbor to death, forget about they were celebrating an important function before marriage and its all dark in their house, my parents couldn't see me on the special day nor they would be able to watch the ceremony online was my sorrow. My elder sister came online and she took pictures and sent to the potter sister and also posted on Facebook, she told me that my hair were too dry and need serum, I rushed to Walgreens and got two varieties of  it, just in case if one didn't work.

Our super senior friend picked us in his SUV, we reached the venue and wore the gown, it was a special feeling, I don't think I can ever feel so proud wearing something but this was it. I was worried that my mood might spoil cause along with me were few unwanted faces walking in the ceremony too..but it didn't effect at all. I was saddened by the fact that everyone's parents were watching the live telecast of the ceremony and my parents were in dark..hah..I now remember they were not in dark, they were attending the neighbors function.

I see the pictures at least once a month and when I attended the ceremony last week everything just came out like live, I was seeing myself walking, so happy waving hands at my friends who were cheering us, taking pictures. I was seeing my juniors and I felt that they sad/tensed or nervous, I was waving hands seeing them but they all were just walking, I actually don't know if they were able to see us in so much crowd.

It was an experience I never want to forget except the stomach ache part. I still didn't see my degree with a feeling of achievement, I only saw it when I had to scan and send it to someone, waiting for Mom to see it first and then I can see it, I know she deserves it more than anyone.

Good/Bad

April 22 - 6:41 PM

I was feeling so guilty since this afternoon that may be I was wrong and my sis(Younger/Google or ancient Potter sis) was right, but no! I felt all guilt free in the evening when...

It's that day when you can't ignore the six O' clock alarm, monday morning's the meeting time..ting ting! You cannot be late. I spent few hours yesterday looking for tickets yesterday and I badly wanted to book them in a day or do before the prices go up, although a lot of you know what I am talking about I'd like to keep it a little secret and reveal it when it finally happens. I was sure I'll discuss the dates at home and book it today or tomorrow, after a one and a half mugs of espresso I was full awake to make a call home and unfortunately this added to one of those 90% of calls when no one answers the phone, this is why I stopped calling them, them includes even my elder sis. I left them few warning messages to call back. My potter sis came online and she started arguing you call, we wont call blah blah and there was a reason behind me telling them to call but no..someone had to argue argue and make the sh*t out of my mood and yell - 'Fine Bye' with extra exclamations and log out, which made me more mad because I was so excited about this thing and my sis argued on a silly thing and zeroed all my excitement. She doesn't like me using an ef word, no one does at home, I got nagged by my mom and a big lecture from my sis cos I used it and I used it again and my sis went -if you want to talk to me like this then don't talk..hmm..I thought ok now she'll delete me from whatsapp, cos last time I used it she deleted me from her facebook, this trends been going on everywhere I guess, delete people if you don't want to talk to them, but this from siblings?seriously? she needs to grow up! I know I shouldn't use an ef word on my younger sis but she did enough to spoil my day.

I didn't hear from mom or anyone from home, I messaged my elder sis so that I can share it with her and relieve myself of anger but she never replied back so..I was all frustrated with a heavy head trying to work.. end of the day when I was about to save my work I see a message 'Microsoft has stopped working.' This added to the misery and I was more arghh! I just shut my laptop and started for home.

Its spring officially but its still  cold, I had to scratch ice on my windshield this morning so I still didn't go back to my mechanic to put my Heat back to AC ..remember my temperature control knob in the car was broken? While returning home the car got so hot with temperature reaching mid 60s..I tried driving with a window little down on the freeway but it looked as if my car was moving from one side to other side of the lane, so I just shut the window and drove, it was so hot inside that I felt my brain would leak, I decided I have to fix this myself put it on AC.

I searched on you tube and they were videos how to fix it, it looked like this problem was common, I went to the car and under the steering its kind of a lever and all I had to do was move it to the opposite direction and I could feel the cool, I fixed it.

Now the bottom line is if it was my mistake in the mornings argument with my sister then like everything turned out to be a flop show since morning, the fixing of AC would flop too, which didn't happen. I believe you are made to suffer/punished for all the bad you do in the same life. I have extreme cases which holds good for the above philosophy, every time I made fun of someone who fell ill in the house or in the school or friends I would fall ill within next 2 days, no their virus didn't make me fall sick, may be it did, but every time?

Go Car Go!

Sometimes its just  bad luck.. wear blue or not. This happened sometime back (almost a month now, this blog's celebrated its 1 month Birthday sitting in my drafts heheh) we were driving home, tired to welcome a fresh week next day. My friend who was driving trying to turn the heat ON broke my AC/Heat knob. Trying to be good, I didn't complaint unaware of what my car would be the next day morning when I'd head for work.

I went home and searched on ebay for the knob, seeing the discussion forums I found this was a very common problem for everyone with Lancers. To my disappointment  I found that just the knob isn't sold the whole unit of AC/Heat system has to be bought, a used one would come for 150$ and I didn't even want to look for something new.
Next morning: I went to my car, it was frozen..there was no way I could drive it like that..without any hesitation I exchanged cars with the guy who broke the knob, I missed my car..whole day I kept thinking about the accident I met with sometime in April. I remember how much I cried when we were taking it for repair after the accident, every part of the dashboard was literally dangling. Well..its an old story now..car's recovered from all the injuries I gave.

I started early for home for I had to repair my car. I was driving and I noticed that the steering was hard to move, it wouldn't rotate for anything. I pulled over to the side in a garden/nursery. I had been here earlier. The guy working there opened the hood for me , we found that one of the belts near the engine was broke. I called one of my automotive buddies, we discuss all car issues..he told  me it was serpentine belt and if I try driving with it broken I'd break the alternator belt which'd inturn damage the engine by draining the battery, whatever it was I didn't want to take any risk.

Sometimes if things like this happen, when I want someone to help, I take wear my bechaari look(poor look) on face, I remember my friends in high school saying 'if you say pleaseeee the professor will give you the grace points and pass you in the weekend exams.' and yes prof used to give me grace points at times..means my face really worked at times like that. I have tried this look and it worked more effectively on Americans than Desis...Americans are light hearted I feel when compared to Indians. So, I went to the owner of this place and told him what's wrong with the car, trust me I didn't really had to act very sad in front of this old guy, he was so friendly ..he started searching for tow trucks without me asking him to. In no time my car was repaired and I drove home.
I got some planters after few days from the same store..I'll  write about my indoor garden sometime, may be when I grow at least 10 plants..will write from where I got those and how I grew them.

You see I wasn't wearing Blue but still I got a double dhamaka Offer -khud ki gaadi tudwali aur doosre ki gaadi bhi todh dhi.
My Temperature knob is still not fixed, I might have to get a complete unit, my mechanic turned the knob to Heat though, absolutely of free cost, thanks to my bechari look ;)

Shop Alone.

I was supposed to post this last weekend. Please digest!

Dear god mother,

Every time I shop I try to think the way you do...I know I m not a .5% the way u do it ... Every single word u say still lingers in my ears...I m in a mall in Chicago shopping all alone, today i'll prove that i m ur best shishya by picking the bestest things here..missing you and kebab me haddi hums ...
I wrote this to my sister yesterday when I started shopping.. I don’t know if she got it..One of my friends happened to visit a friend in Chicago, I was asked  if I wanted to go..with no second thought I said yes. Chicago’s always been my favorite city..walking across those high branded stores which adored the streets with its banners and big LED screens, I always wanted to go in and shop something like those high heeled, no crease skimpy downtown girls..I many times went in but came back. Those downtown stores have so highly priced tags. So this time I went to a suburb shopping mall, it’s listed 8th best shopping mall in US.

I started  with JC Penny. I never  shopped here, the only thing I remember buying is a  comforter. It's hard to get good patterns in solid. I remember how crazy it got and it is still in India with those bright blue, yellow or hot pink color kurtis with some crazy borders on hands and necks. I learnt this from sis- Only one color, no freaking too many flowers, patterns on a shirt/kurti..mind you she takes this serious on sarees she wear too. Ha! All good/bad I learnt about picking clothes is from her, i don't go by those rules all the time coz its hard. So here it is isles of clothes all arranged color wise, it made picking things so easy,   I am famous for wearing same shirt in different colors, that's coz I don't find good clothes often and when i find something i tend to pick multiple colors of the same style. I don't remember when was the last I wore green or blue, I try to stay away from blue coz not even once was my day good when i am dressed in blue; sky blue to be precise.. so I try to be on a safe side and I stopped wearing any blues. I picked a bold blue (i don't know the exact color name).

I just roamed around for a while scanning shops and it was way late for lunch, i tried keeping away from a Pizza store, I went to Panda Express and got something in a to go box, I always have a feeling they give more quantity in a take out box than for here plates. I sat on the abnormal highted stool and noticed a chinese girl(not being a racist) beside me had a lovely brown color bag it had 'sabon' on it..looked like  its from a gift store, I cared to ask her which store it was..and it took me five minutes to explain her.. she did as if she was scrubbing something on her hand she said 'scrub', it was my next destination. Winter's almost here and i could see my skin getting that dry feeling..I entered the store, there was a brass tap.. with different aroma oils and scrubs around it, the pretty girls came to me and made me try their products. I sometimes even think about getting a cheaper deal on a 6$ Olay body wash and here I was buying a bottle smaller  than Olay for 21$!! I am miser, real real miser. I asked the girl to pack the ginger orange bathing oil, it was only in my bathroom that i found she wrapped rose extract for me...eee! I so much try to stay away from the majority peoples favorite. I remember how I use to turn away clothes saying 'this is very common Mom, you can find 5 girls wearing the same suit in different colors from mehdipatnam to tolichowki (neighboring streets)'.

Later in the day I bought Sugar scrub and some cosmetics, I know I've said this a lot of times- I always thought I should buy things only which are essential..coz I thought all this fancy stuff, charismatic aromatic pampering things are only good when you receive them as gifts. But trust me I never got such gifts, I remember sis giving me a charlie perfume, which still decors my cupboard.. I think its been four years I've had it, I always put perfumes on the top of the list when I am shopping for gifts, its so simple just enter into the store and buy a perfume gift box along with it would come a body wash and moisturizer, like a family pack. haha!

After this shopping experience I got this short time fever of making soaps, bath bombs. I probably will make few bath bombs this weekend and post some pictures here, lets see how they fizz.

So much in a day!!

I've been waiting for something to happen..so that I can post it here...Everyone here knows that I write only when something jaw dropping, gloomy or blissful happens, coz like Sis and like other good blogger friends I don't know how to pen on and on and prove a point neither  I am a poet, painter nor  a cook :P

Coming to the point..I was waiting for something to happen, but something like this?Oh no!spare me please!

It's called 'Verilog' a programming language...which we hardly knew. last exam and I wanted to give my best, atleast not  a backlog..not once did it happen that it's my last exam and I didn't write it well...this way results tension always came along with the end of  exams..and so did it this time too..

I never faced such a paper, 8 questions, you know 1.5!!
Invigilator showed mercy and the exam hall turned all noisy..pouring water on my efforts to put something into the paper and atleast score a pass mark.
3 hours passed somehow and came the long waited end!

Forgetting the paper we enjoyed ourselves, for we'd not meet again, like this together anytime from now.
They tore papers, hugged and few of them cried-from the other batch the computer sciences chicks, we electros are strong, with a thousand watt of power in our friendship, which'd never end with the college.

The first person to call and congratulate was potter sis-Hums(whom I thought was mum, with so much noise around),then Orkut bhai Annu and then I called my sissy and then the last was Jeetu..

I took my cam to capture the last moments...we took loads of photos and as it was late  to go party somewhere, few of us went to a near by place and  celebrated it with cool drinks and pastries...!how can a naughty mind not use the cream?I applied all the cream on a friends face..someone on the tables said-'hey take a picture..'

Pastries were over, now it was time for pani puri!few of them unjoined...only three of us left.
Don't know for what reason I opened my bag..and to my horror my cam was missing! No!!
I kept whining,'it's gone...it's gone!what'll I tell mom now?'

Except how to find it, numerous ideas rushed into my mind..
-Someone snatched my bag and ran away...thank God I am safe!

-I forgot the camera  in the morning..I kept it on sofa..it's not here?the bai must have taken it :P
-Create a scene-fake drama in which the thief unscrew the windows grill and scatter all the things in room and also disconnect the L.C.D, but Oh no! I came while the thief was trying to take the L.C.D away, he kept it on the washing machine outside and ran away with what all he got from the room = camera from the L.C.D cupboard :P

-Forget about the camera..When it's absence is discovered-' what do I know?I didn't see it!'
learnt this from Jeeju, he gave me this tip when I broke one of my sissy's vase in B'lore :P

Other two friends of mine ran their minds on how can we get it back and I kept whining..
Keshu encouraged, 'Don't worry you'll get it back, and if it had to go..then we can't help it even I lost a cell..' Butool(B) said,'that was just a cell, this is a camera!!'
Bad exam, and a lost camera aggrevated the gloom...

Dialled to friends who'd help me accessing the bus driver uncles  number in which we came..Coz I vividly remembered keeping it in my bag after seeing the photos in the bus, and with all my senses present there was no thief around who'd have flipped it...

The only way to see the camera back was either in any of my friends bag or in the bus.
Both had zero probability coz no one took my cam, then I recollected-they wanted  a picture, when I was playing with the pastries cream..called all of them who were present there...but luck doesn't come calling every time.

Dialled the class rep and took the contacts of people who could give us the drivers uncles number..after few dials got the  number and he told us that the bus is kept in a garage and he didn't see any cam, coz he was the one who closed all the windows of the bus and parked it there.

I disconnected the phone, both of my friends were reluctant to get back home or see it tomorrow morning..
We dialled him again and I didn't talk this time B spoke and took the address of the garage, it was near a road which leads to airport..not much far though..
He said, 'you can't go there alone, its all dark and you also have dogs there.' hearing this all the horrified scenes came into my mind..a man following us with  a knife in his hand, a dog running after us etc;

The man agreed to come and we decided to go there..the moment we took an auto Mom called asking where I was, I lied that we are at Gandipet(water park near our college)and waiting for the buses.
I disconnected the call  to avoid her questions..
Potter sis called again and again shouting-'you know what's happening here in the city?'
two unknown men gunned down two policemen, and the city was on alert.
I again lied 'I have no battery in my cell..I'll call you soon.'

Reached the place..I was sure I wouldn't get it back..I had thoughts that the driver uncle must have taken it and only to prove his innocence tomorrow when we'd blame him of the missing camera from the bus he's coming so far for our rescue.
The auto fella said-21!I said' why 21?take 5*3=15!won't give 21..'he argued argued, I took out two tens and gave him..saying I don't have one rupee..he again started 'merko ek rupaiyya milta, tum woh bhi nahi dete?'
gave him a rupee..a rupee sounded so big then..with a camera of thousands gone a rupee would obviously sound big.

We walked to some distance, the driver uncle called again..I was sure now..he took it!he's acting helpful, only to save himself.
He was standing there with a torch in his hand..it was all dark, with few dogs around..not resembling the garage I imagined :P

I stepped into the bus first and then stopped..asked my other friends to go first.
We sat in the last third row..B saw it and screamed..It was lying there in the corner.

I jumped!jumped and kissed both of them...
I felt sorry about what all I thought of the man who helped us.
I don't know what'd have happened that night if I'd not have got it.

Thanks to both the sweet hearts and Driver uncle.

Not a penny less,not a penny more!!

The moment I came to know this I logged in for a new entry...what could it be??heehee..!!Exam's postponed, the one tomorrow..sigh of relief..but getting in sync again with the exam atmosphere after 2 days would be again a head ache! What I say, when it comes to exams is "its a passing phase and let it go as soon as possible, regardless of what performance you deliver." :P

I've many times made an entry on exams postponed!!yipppeee!!buut its not the same today, come on now how many times do you expect me to blabber on the same thing?So..I wanna tell you something that happened today.

Exam time,2 exams a day-4 in two and the remaining two alternate days..so I would have sat preparing for the test tomorrow instead here...ah..coming on today, past two days have been very hectic,it felt as if I was born just to study..nah!nah!I am not that studious,I felt that only coz we had two exams a day..Ok!I think you are convinced now how tired I was past two days..so I'd tell you about today...actually nothing for which you'd say-hawww!awww!!happened.

We were returning from college to home,I travell by RTC (the local bus service in the state)..I was happy that unlike yesterday,we got the bus early and I'd reach home early by 5,but what I'd do before 7(I start studying at 7)..sitting idle,my mind would run in this that corners, distracting me from studies..."No!you wouldn't reach early by 5,"said my bag which fell down the bus(i kept it on the engine..remember..exams,books..so,it was heavy to carry on my shoulder..so kept it on the engine).Their was a steep turning, and it fell down..the dog!buswalla stopped after shouting stop!stop!..Loser he said"bag gira toh main kya karoon?"My friend ran down to take the bag,I ran after her..the bus moved away leaving us behind :( Meanwhile, two three bikers stopped and took my bag..Now what? We are left with no bus and the next stop is more than a 1.5 kms away and no bus would stop in the middle for us,adding more to that I had great 15 large bucks in my bag and the friend of mine left her bag in the bus.The route by which we travel is a highway kinds..big road, fast moving vehicles..The other side of the road was under construction...so we chose that path to walk, greater than 1.5 kms stretch!!!!We could see the church's cross mark far their at the next stop...I thought if we'd get water here somewhere...and I saw a boy carrying a bottle,uhhhh..their was a water tanker waiting at a distance!I said"paani peene ka mazaa aur ayega,if we run and go..lets run,"we ran and for the first time,I drank water from a water tanker...heehee I suddenly remember my mom saying.."eeks donno, how old the water in the tanker may be,with what all insect their in!" and the next moment i spitted out the water :P

Walking,walking...I saw a juice stand..we thought,we'd buy only one..I asked him and he said-"mosambi,15 rs!"...with a wide mouth we said "kya?"and moved on...oh...i never felt so poor,we realized what a glass of mosambi juice means,we'd just gulp it not even looking into the glass..and today,we didn't even get the glass to see!!Every pillion rider stared at us,as if we came from some other planet!
Finally, the bus stop came and we stood their..hiring an auto was no option in that area and going by a private bus meant more money..so again waiting for the local buses was the only option, the tickets would cost us 10 bucks till home and remaining five...hahhh!!remaining 5,their comes a jaam wala on the other side of the road,we crossed the road and bargained their too..we chose two guavas he said one for 2 rs,the other for 3,we told the guy that,no bhaiyya,we don't have money..and the poor fella gave us two in 4 rupees!!yipppeee!!!!
The guava was almost completed and the bus came..I can never forget that sight..we standing, guavas in hand in front of a mandir(mandir and church opposite to each other)Kali mandir it was...all the ghantas and bhajans going...people looking at us like weirdos !!Heehee!!

The whole movie took place for 2 hours and I was home by 6:15 like yesterday again, giving no chance to my mind to deviate! :P

Lesson learnt:will never keep my bag on the engine... :P
